At Phoenix Farm we’re dedicated to producing the best
relationship possible between you and your horse. We
specialize in individual programs tailored toward improving
confidence, communication and skill in horses and riders of
all ages and levels of experience. We offer comprehensive
training packages for horses, riders, or both, and our
large farm offers an environment rarely found in
California—acres of hacking and turnout, in a beautiful
Northern Sonoma County setting. We attend most major
eventing competitions throughout California and the West.
Horses started and trained by Phoenix Farm are earning
ribbons all over California for their owners. You can be
next!
Want references? We’d be happy to introduce you to current
clients who are excelling in ways they never thought
possible!
While it is our primary goal to make a partnership out of
you and your horse, should things not work out, we can also
sell your horse, or can help you find the horse of your
dreams.
You can have a happy, healthy partner and enjoy riding and
competing again!
Let
us show you how!
Heather
Bailey
has been teaching all levels of riders for more than 20
years. She specializes in teaching riders how to
communicate more effectively with their horse and in
improving overall performance through quiet, consistent
flatwork. She draws upon the thousands of hours of training
she has received from top, classical trainers to offer
practical solutions to riding and training problems.
She also has a special understanding of those riders who
may be trying to work through fear or confidence related
issues. After a serious riding accident left her out of the
saddle for 14 months and with permanent physical damage,
she had to regain her confidence and relearn her riding
technique to return to competition.
John Strassburger
is a graduate A Pony Clubber . His strong cross-country
background through foxhunting and racing allows him an
keeen insight in to what it takes to produce good
cross-country horses and riders. He has also studied and
trained with some of the biggest names in the sport,
allowing him to bring a strong set of fundamentals and an
adherence to classical principles to his training and
teaching.
All levels and disciplines of riders are welcome.
