Heather Bailey
has been teaching all levels of riders for more than 15
years. She specializes in teaching riders how to
communicate more effectively with their horse and in
improving overall performance through quiet, consistent
flatwork. She draws upon the thousands of hours of training
she has received from top, classical trainers to offer
practical solutions to riding and training problems.
She also has a special understanding of those riders who
may be trying to work through fear or confidence related
issues. After a serious riding accident left her out of the
saddle for 14 months and with permanent physical damage,
she had to regain her confidence and relearn her riding
technique to return to competition.
All levels and disciplines of riders are welcome.
Lessons:
Heather is available for lessons at Phoenix Farm, and is
available for some limited travel to lessons.
Due to permit issues, only private and semi private lessons
are available at Phoenix Farm. If you are interested in
putting together a group lesson at another facility, please
call for a per person price quote. Please note time lengths
of lessons are approximate, and depend on fitness level of
horses and rider, and other factors, and may be varied as
Heather sees fit.
Working
Students:
Phoenix
Farm has occasional openings for working students. We offer
the opportunity to learn all about the fundamentals of
horsemanship, training, and competition in a friendly,
quiet atmosphere. Please call the farm to find out more.
