       Fiona was unfortunately unable to fulfill her stay at home mom obligations and slipped 2 embryos between 15 and 30 days. As such, she has gone back to school and is ready to embark on a new career path. Fiona had a late start to under saddle life after being used as a TB broodmare, then was ridden inconsistently the past couple years as a walk/trot lesson horse as the program she was in was winding down. She had 6 months off while we tried to get her knocked up, and was started back under saddle about a month ago. She is going really well walk/trot, and is very soft in the bridle. She can be a little spunky (nothing scary) at the canter after not cantering much the last couple years, but is settling back down in to canter work easily. We recently started her over fences, and while obviously green and a little quick, she is very honest and wants to do! An experienced riding is recommended while working through some quirks as she comes back in to work. Once she is fully back in to work, I see no reason why she wouldn't fit in to a lesson gig again. 

       While Fiona is probably a touch old to embark on a Rolex career, I see no reason why she should not have many years left in the lower levels and could see her going several directions - eventing, jumpers, or she even has the movement for straight dressage. I have been told she has trail ridden extensively in the past, but have not been able to try her out on the trails as my trail riding buddies were on maternity and surgical leave this summer Hopefully we will change that soon! I have started ponying her along for trail rides and she is doing well.

       Fiona does have some minor maintenance, which I am more than happy to discuss. She also has a full set of leg rads that were taken last summer. Fiona is incredibly easy to handle on the ground, stands for the vet and farrier, loads easily, turns out in a mixed group, cross ties and ties, is very neat in her stall, and all the fun and necessary things.
